    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal trip stopping valve which is used by intermediate bulk containers. SOLUTION: An intermediate bulk container (IBC) (10) for unloading materials consists of a portable tank including a bottom section wall (20) having a bottom section discharging outlet (12). This thermal trip stopping valve (14) is attached to the discharging outlet (12). The thermal trip stopping valve (14) includes an emergency valve (40) which is a spring type emergency valve (40) being urged to a closing position and includes a lever arm (52) being operable in a manner to move the emergency valve to an opening position. A soluble link (66) connects a pull handle (64) with the lever arm (52) in an interlocking way in such a manner that the pull handle (64) may manually operate the emergency valve (40). Latch mechanisms (56 and 68) latch the pull handle (64) for which the emergency valve (40) is located at the opening position, and thus, the soluble link (66) opens under a high-temperature state, the pull handle (64) is separated from the lever arm (52), and the emergency valve (40) is closed. SOLUTION: This flammable substance shutoff device is used for shutting off either a flammable substance or an oxidizer when the flammable substance and the oxidizer 103 come into contact with each other and thereby preventing the contact. The shutoff device includes: a catalyst part 101 formed in contact with either of the flammable substance and the oxidizer 103; and a shutoff means 111 operated by being heated by reaction between the flammable substance and the oxidizer in the catalyst part to shut off at least either of the flammable substance and the oxidizer.
