    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing nanometer-scale InP particulates efficiently and industrially advantageously in a short time, and also to provide a dispersion of the InP particulates.
      SOLUTION: This method comprises reacting, in a solvent, an In-basic ingredient comprising two or more In-compounds with a P-ingredient comprising at least one P-compound to produce InP particulates. The above two or more In-compounds comprise at least one first In-compound which has a group to be removed by reacting with a functional group of the P-compound having P atoms adjacent to In atoms upon the formation of the In-P bond, and at least one second In-compound which has an electron density lower than that of the first In-compound in the In atom in the compound. As for the above solvent, a Lewis basic solvent is used. Besides, the dispersion of the InP particulates obtained by the above method is also provided.
