    • PURPOSE: To make it possible to carry out the complete gasification only by passing coal through a gasifying furnace once, by distributing and feeding the coal to the upper and lower stages of a jetted stream bed type gasifying furnace according to the particle size, gasifying the coal respectively under specific conditions, and leading the gas formed in the lower stage directly to the upper stage.
      CONSTITUTION: Coal is distributed into coarse and fine particles by selecting the flow velocity of a fluidizing gas 4 in the a fluidized bed type distributor 8, and the coal having ≤100μm, preferably ≤50μm, particle size is fed to the upper stage 10 of a jetted stream bed type gasifying furnace 9 and then gasified at ≥900°C in the absence of oxygen. On the other hand, the remaining coarse coal is fed to the lower stage 11, and oxygen in an amount necessary to carry out the complete combustion of the coalW half thereof is fed to gasify the coal at the melting temperature of the coal ash or above. The resultant gas is then led directly to the upper stage 10.

    • PURPOSE: To increase the efficiency of gasification of coal in a coal gas liquefaction apparatus which employs a double jet layer, by reducing the diameter of a discharge opening and providing two specially designed burners to the reactor wall.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the loss of the sensible heat of slag and to carry out the gasification of powdered coal efficiently, by feeding the powdered coal together with oxygen and steam to a reaction chamber to form char, combusting the char with oxygen and steam, maintaining the temperatures of the combustion chamber and reaction chamber at constant values, and making an agglomerated fluidized bed.
      CONSTITUTION: Powdered coal having particle diameters of 2W3mm together with oxygen and steam is fed to the fluidized bed gasification reaction chamber 1. Char formed and collected by the reaction chamber 1, or its, coal, oxygen, and steam are fed to the jet flow combustion chamber 2 set at the lower part of the fluidized bed gasification reaction chamber 1, and burned so that the temperature of the combustion chamber 2 is maintained approximately 1,600°C, the temperature of the reaction chamber 1 is kept 900W1,300°C, and an agglomerated fluidized bed is formed in the reaction chamber 1, thus to carry out gasification using powdered coal.
