    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which can restrain exhaustion of an electrode of a discharge lamp and which can project so that a stereoscopic image can be seen brightly.SOLUTION: A projector outputs an image for the right eye and an image for a left eye alternately by switching them at a prescribed switching timing. The period between the temporally adjacent switching timings starts with a first period and ends with a second period. The first period starts with a third period and ends with a fourth period.
