摘要： PURPOSE:To attain the reproduction and the slow reproduction with good quality even at the YC separating system, by separating a luminance signal track group and a chroma signal track group in the broadwise direction of a tape as a recording pattern of a magnetic recorder and reproducer so as to record the result. CONSTITUTION:A rotary head cylinder is constituted with fixed drums 30, 34 having a guide section 32 guiding a tape 10 and a rotary cylinder 20, and is fitted with a head 24b for luminance signal recording/reproduction, a chroma signal recording and reproducing head 22b and a chroma signal recording/ reproducing head at the opposite side to the head 22b. Since the chroma signal reproducing head and the luminance signal reproducing head has a step of (h), a luminance signal track 16a and a chroma signal track 18a are recorded at the same time in the recorded tape pattern. Since the chroma signal and the luminance signal are recorded independently, so in the still reproduction, the reproduction with good quality is attained.
