    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct color image data into data capable of obtaining color more preferable in impressions.
      SOLUTION: When a color to be corrected (correction object color) and a correction amount are set, color correction is performed on a correction area that is set while including the correction object color. At such a time, the correction amount is set to be reduced it gets closer to an outer edge of the correction area from the correction object color. Next, color image data are corrected in accordance with this set correction amount. Thus, the color is corrected within a range of the correction area that is set while including the color to be corrected, so that influences of the correction do not appear in unexpected parts and even when a user does not have technical knowledge or sufficient experience, color image data can be easily corrected to obtain preferable colors. The correction object color or the correction amount may be stored inside beforehand or may also be set from the outside.
