    • PURPOSE:To ensure an optional and independent control for each differential amplifying circuit, by providing a variable current circuit in addition to a constant current circuit to each differential amplifying circuit to control the gain of each of these amplifying circuits. The gain of the differential amplifying circuit can be controlled by controlling the current flowing to the D1 and D2 since the current-voltage conversions of D1 and D2 have different gains due to their current values. This current control is carried out by a variable current circuit consisting of current control transistors Q4, Q5 and Q6. This variable current circuit applies the control signal voltage to a base bias V3 or V4 to control the current.

    • PURPOSE:To improve noise characteristic of a gain control circuit by connecting a variable element to an emitter of a transistor (TR) having an amplification function so as to control the amplitude while amplifying the signal. CONSTITUTION:A resistance value of a diode 4 connected to the emitter of TRs 2, 3 is changed by a voltage applied to a bias voltage terminal 11 and a cur rent feedback amount is changed so that the gain between an input terminal 10 and an output terminal 12 is controlled. Further, since the impedance of the diode 4 is changed continuously against the continuous change of a voltage applied to the terminal 11, the gain between the input terminal 10 and the output terminal 12 is controlled continuously. Thus, since the amplitude is controlled while amplifying the signal, excellent noise characteristic is attained.
