    • PURPOSE:To obtain a miniature motor generating output according to the rotational frequency, by magnetizing the wedge for each slot. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of wedges 12 made of magnetic substance are fixed in the slots 11 of a rotor core 6 with adhesives, varnish or the like so that the wedges on the outer circumferential side 12a may be arranged with the same polarities. When a rotary shaft 8 is rotated, then the wedges 12 which are fixed in the slots 11 of the rotor core 6 and are magnetized are also rotated, and so the signal according to the rotational frequency can be obtained from a magnetic detecting element 13 confronting the rotor core 6.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent hunting in a low torque operating range, by defining the dead zone of signals which determine the energizing amount of current for an armature in an electrically driven PS device, wider than the dead zone of signals which determine the energizing direction of the armature current.
      CONSTITUTION: When a torque is applied externally to an input shaft 1 so that the torque is detected by a torque detecting section 13 between input and output shafts 1, 4, an armature current is fed to a winding 25 under operation of a control circuit. Accordingly, a motor 20 is driven so that a rotor 26 rotates in the same direction as that of the input shaft 1. The armature current which is fed to an armature 20 from the control circuit is proportional to a voltage applied to an armature drive circuit. However, since the dead zone of the input voltage is made wider than the dead zone of the voltage which controls the energizing direction, the armature current may be stably fed so that a smooth steering operation may be effected.
