    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PDP where luminance is controlled for every discharge cell by forming discharge electrodes and electron emitting sources like oxidized porous silicon on a dielectric layer to make areas and quantities different for every discharge cell, in a plasma display panel.
      SOLUTION: This plasma display panel comprises: a front substrate 101; a rear substrate 102 opposing the front substrate 101; a plurality of discharge electrodes 103 disposed between the front substrate 101 and the rear substrate 102; a plurality of light emitter layers 111 formed inside the discharge cells; and electron emitting sources 115 disposed inside the discharge cells so as to supply electrons, wherein the areas of the electron emitting sources differ from one another for every discharge cell.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel having a low discharge voltage and high emission efficiency. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel is provided with a first substrate 11 and a second substrate 20; the first substrate 11 is provided with a plurality of first and second bus electrodes 13 and 15 alternately arranged, first discharge electrodes 12 formed so as to be connected to the respective first bus electrodes, and second discharge electrodes 14 formed so as to be connected to the respective bus electrodes; and the second substrate 20 is provided with a plurality of third electrodes 21 formed so as to cross the first and second bus electrodes. The plasma display panel is also provided with a plurality of fourth electrodes 16 and 17 formed at positions for executing main discharge between the first discharge electrodes and the second discharge electrodes executing the main discharge for display; and at least either of a space through which the fourth electrode faces to the first discharge electrode and a space through which the fourth electrode faces to the second discharge electrode is gradually changed in a single cell.
