    • PURPOSE:To increase the strength of a lead wire and to eliminate generation of a leakage path by connecting together an electrode and a lead wire of a panel in which a gas is sealed between insulating plates having electrodes covered by dielectrics, within a flit glass which seals the insulating plates through a conductive adhesive material. CONSTITUTION:Forming electrodes 3, 5 on glass plates 1, 2, covering them with dielectric films, 4, 6, and thus flit glasses 12, 14 are formed by a silk screen printing process. A spacer 7 is formed upon the glass plate 2, and a conductive adhesive material 9 is applied on an electrode lead out portion. A lead frame 13 formed by consolidating in one body lead wires drawing out electrodes outside is set on the conductive adhesive material 9 of the glass plate 2, the glass plate 1 is combined in the direction of an arrow mark by applying a force, and thus combined assembly is pressed and fixed to be a completed body after being inserted in an electric furnace and increased in its temperature gradually. Flit glasses 12 and 14 are melted together completely to seal the glass plates 1 and 2, and sufficient strength is secured for the frame 13 to be filled in and stuck.

    • PURPOSE:To disperse uniformly phosphor and improve the display quality of a gas discharge panel, by stirring the mixture of phosphor which ought to be spread on the inside surface of a base constituting the panel before spreading it. CONSTITUTION:A certain rate of quantities of photoresist and phosphor are put in a container as a beaker or the like, and they are mixed by using a magnetic stirrer or the like. Then, the container is soaked in the wash-tub of an ultrasonic washhing machine, and subjected to ultrasonic vibration. Then, lumps of phosphor in the photoresist are crushed in fine particles, and dispersed uniformly. A uniform phosphor layer 8 can be formed, by spreading this mixture on a glass cover plate 2 constituting a gas discharge panel, forming it into a predetermined shape by a photographically exposing method, and baking it at a given temperature. Thereby, the ununiformity of brightness can be prevented, and the display quantity of the panel can be improved.
