    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional display system capable of displaying a high quality, three-dimensional image that has a large quantity of output light. SOLUTION: A composing means of a first projector composes the first image light of a right-eye image and the second and third image light beams of a left-eye image by a cross dichroic prism. The composing means of the first projector also makes the polarization direction of the first image light of the right-eye image perpendicular to the polarization direction of the second and third image light beams of the left-eye image during the incidence to the composing means. A composing means of a second projector composes the first image light of the left-eye image and the second and third image light beams of the right-eye image by the cross dichroic prism. The composing means of the second projector also makes the polarization direction of the first image light of the left-eye image perpendicular to the polarization direction of the first image light of the right-eye image of the first projector during the incidence to the composing means, and makes the polarization direction of the second and third image light beams of the right-eye image perpendicular to the polarization direction of the first image light of the right-eye image of the first projector during the incidence to a screen.
