    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal overload relay that can contribute to miniaturization by reducing a placement space for normally open contact and normally close contact inside a case.
      SOLUTION: The relay includes a movable plate 35 whose one end 35a is used as a fulcrum and whose other end 35b side is placed swingingly; a reverse spring 36, that is tensely hanged between the other end side of the movable plate and a spring support part 32a, which are situated opposed to each other across the fulcrum and causes the movable plate to be reversed by a rotating release lever being engaged therewith; and an interlock plate 34 rotating around a support shaft together with the movable plate. Then, a normally open contact 38 is disposed near a front surface 34a of the interlock plate, and a normally close contact 42 is disposed near its rear surface 34b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker with a locking mechanism which ensures that the circuit breaker is switched OFF before applying any trip free lock. SOLUTION: Exemplary embodiment includes the circuit breaker, including a lay shaft coupled to circuit breaker contacts, a lay shaft cam coupled to the lay shaft, a lifting plate configured to interface the lay shaft cam, and a padlock plate configured to engage the lifting plate. Further, the exemplary embodiment includes a circuit breaker system, the system including a circuit breaker having circuit breaker contacts and configured in an OFF condition, a padlock plate disposed on the circuit breaker, wherein the engagement of the padlock plate locks the circuit breaker into a trip free condition and a locking mechanism configured to lock the circuit breaker in the OFF condition in response to the engagement of the padlock plate.
