摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium capable of providing a favorable reproduction signal as a recording medium of a type performing mark recording by erasing or changing interference fringes.SOLUTION: The recording medium includes a recording layer forming region 10 in which photosensitive layers and non-photosensitive layers (intermediate layers 4) are sequentially superposed, and is configured to form a recording layer 3 in a photosensitive layer. In the recording layer 3, information is recorded by erasing or changing the interference fringes which are formed in parallel to the recording medium surface, in an application part of condensed light, or the information is reproduced by reflecting light with respect to the application of the condensed light. Particularly, the thickness d of the recording layer is defined as 8P≤d≤30Pand more preferably, defined as 8P≤d≤22P.

摘要： A first substrate is formed to include a surface on which a first record layer is formed, and which includes an inner circumferential portion on which a ring-shaped member is provided. Ultraviolet curing resin is dropped onto part of the surface which is located inward of the ring-shaped member, and the first substrate is then spun to coat the first record layer with the ultraviolet curing resin. Furthermore, a second substrate is formed to include a surface on which a second record layer is formed, and the second substrate is spun to coat the second record layer with ultraviolet curing resin. Then, the first and second record layers are made to face each other, and the first and second substrates are bonded to each other by the ultraviolet curing resin.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate for information recording medium whose smoothness can be made excellent while the purity of the surface is highly maintained and to provide its manufacturing method.
SOLUTION: The glass substrate for information recording medium is formed from a disk like glass original plate. The glass original plate is formed from a multicomponent glass material containing at least a silicon oxide in its glass composition. A heterogeneous layer having a high silicon oxide content in its glass composition compared with that of the inner part is formed on the surface of the glass original plate by the influence of washing liquid at the time of washing of the glass original plate. The heterogeneous layer is removed until its thickness becomes ≤3 nm by grinding the surface of the glass original plate.
