    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording layer for optical information recording with excellent transmission characteristics and an optical information recording medium with the same.SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium includes a substrate, two or more recording layers provided on the substrate, and a protective layer provided on the recording layer. The surface of either the substrate or the protective layer is an optically-illuminated surface onto which light is irradiated to record information signals on the two or more recording layers. At least one of the other layers than the furthest recording layer from the optically-illuminated surface includes W oxide, Pd oxide, and Cu oxide as main ingredients. The ratio of the W, Pd, and Cu contained respectively in the W oxide, Pd oxide, and Cu oxide satisfies the relation that 0.17≤x1 (however, x1=a/(b+0.8c), (a) being an atomic ratio (atom%) of W against the total of W, Pd and Cu, (b) being an atomic ratio (atom%) of Pd against the total of W, Pd and Cu, (c) being an atomic ratio (atom%) of Cu against the total of the W, Pd and Cu).
