    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a payment seal generating scheme that enables a user to customize the appearance of the payment seal and to accommodate a wide variety of validation processing environments while providing a substantial defense against a fraudulent photocopy attack.
      SOLUTION: A corroborative digital token is generated from payment information, and a base image is modulated by the graphical encoding of the corroborative digital token to generate a payment seal. A payment seal containing embedded payment information is rendered on a printing surface with a printing characteristic that degrades with photographic reproduction so that the embedded payment information is extractable from the original rendering of the payment seal but is un-extractable from the photographic reproduction of the original rendering of the payment seal. The payment information is encoded into the corroborative digital token based at least on part upon one or a plurality of variable encoding parameters, and the payment seal containing the encoded payment information is rendered.
