    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a barcode with an HRI character, capable of quickly and easily inputting the data of a barcode with HRI characters using an application identifier. SOLUTION: All characters corresponding to HRI characters are input by surrounding characters just before and just after an application identifier with a specific character 1 and a specific character 2 by an input means 41. SOLUTION: For information processing with a coding pattern comprising a plurality of marks, each of marks represents one of at least two different values. The coding pattern comprises a plurality of reference positions, each of the plurality of marks being associated with a reference position and the value of each mark being determined by its location relative to its reference position. The value of each mark is determined by how it is located relative to its reference position. As the value is based on the location of the mark, all the marks can have an identical appearance. The coding pattern is consequently simple to apply on the product.
