    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divide a cache area of a storage subsystem in each user to prevent interference of mutual user dedicated areas. SOLUTION: A plurality of CLPRs can be set inside the storage subsystem. The CLPR is the user dedicated area made to be usable by dividing the cache area of a cache memory. Management information necessary for management of data stored in the cache memory is distributed to each CLPR according to an attribute of a segment or a slot. A clean queue 102 and a clean counter 202 managing the segment being in a clean state are respectively provided in the respective CLPRs. A dirty queue 103 and a dirty counter 203 are used in common with all the CLPRs. A free queue 101, a color-coded queue 104 and a BIND queue 105 are applied to all the CLPRs in common, and only counter 201, 204, 205 is provided in each CLPR. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
