    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image formation apparatus from being inoperable by preventing unnecessary data transfer when a link for data transfer through PCI Express is disconnected because of external noise or the like.SOLUTION: Plural device modules are connected with a control module through a PCI Express interface. The control module includes: an initialization unit for establishing a link between the control module and one of the device modules; a main data transfer unit for transferring data requested to be transferred to the device module; and a link check unit for checking a state of the link. When data transfer to a first device module is requested, the link check unit checks a state of a link between the control module and the first device module. When it is determined that the state of the link is abnormal, the initialization unit establishes the link between the control module and the first device module, and then the main data transfer unit transfers data requested to be transferred.
