    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic toner enabling stable image density regardless of use environment, and capable of suppressing fogs or stop stripes.SOLUTION: A magnetic toner comprises: magnetic toner particles including a binder resin, a release agent and a magnetic substance; and inorganic fine particles present on the surface of the magnetic toner particles. The inorganic fine particles present on the surface of the magnetic toner particles include at least one type of metal oxide fine particles selected from the group consisting of silica fine particles, titania fine particles and alumina fine particles. The silica fine particles consist 85 mass% or more of the metal oxide fine particles. In the magnetic toner, if a coverage factor by the inorganic fine particles over the surface of the magnetic toner particles is coverage factor A(%) and a coverage factor by the inorganic fine particles bonded to the surface of the magnetic toner particles is coverage factor B(%), the coverage factor A and the coverage factor B/the coverage factor A are within a predetermined range. In the magnetic toner, a dielectric constant ε' and a dielectric tangent (tanδ) are within a predetermined range.
