    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum pump with a detoxification function capable of discharging treatment by-products in the form of powder as they are without melting or adhesion into a detoxification unit by supplying the air in a swirling flow at an amount at which exhaust gas and fuel can be sufficiently diluted to combust the exhaust gas and the fuel.SOLUTION: A vacuum pump 1 comprises a detoxification unit 10 provided on an exhaust port of the vacuum pump 1 for treating and detoxifying exhaust gas discharged from the vacuum pump 1. The detoxification unit 10 includes: an exhaust gas intake port provided on one end portion of a cylindrical body 11 for introducing treatment target exhaust gas; a gas outlet provided on the other end portion of the cylindrical body 11 for discharging the treated gas; a plurality of fuel nozzles 16 provided on a circumferential wall of the cylindrical body 11 for jetting fuel; and a plurality of air nozzles 15 provided on the circumferential wall of the cylindrical body 11 for jetting the so as to form a swirling flow along an inner circumferential surface of the circumferential wall, a plurality of stages of the plurality of air nozzles 15 being arranged at intervals in an axial direction of the cylindrical body 11.
