    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure a sound absorbing structure to exhibit good sound absorption performance over a wide frequency range without requiring a large volume as that of a Helmholtz type resonator (resonance type silencer).SOLUTION: In an intake duct (sound absorbing structure), an assembly of tube-shaped hollow sound absorbers 4 with small diameters, which have, for example, inner holes 5 of 1 mm or less in hole diameter, constitutes a sound absorbing member which absorbs noise emitted from a sound source. Further, the assembly of the tube-shaped hollow sound absorbers 4 with small diameters, constituting the sound absorbing member is disposed inside a duct body 2 of the intake duct (on a wall face at an air-inlet passage side of a duct wall body 3) connected to an outlet end of a compressor housing of a turbocharger. Thus, the goog sound absorption performance can be exhibited in the wide frequency range without requiring a large volume as that of a resonator, and such a worse region (sound increase region where sound increases on the contrary) of a silencing characteristic (sound absorption characteristic) as generated in the resonator is not generated.
