    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake control valve capable of properly keeping sealability even when pressure difference exists between an upstream side and a downstream side.SOLUTION: An intake control valve 3 includes elastically-deformable seal portions 50 disposed at one side and the another side in a direction orthogonal to a rotating shaft 31 of a valving element 32, and sealing between an inner wall surface 25 of an intake port 2 and the valving element 32 by being kept into contact with the inner wall surface 25 of the intake port 2 at a closing position of the valving element 32. The seal portion 50 is formed into a bent shape having a first hinge portion 51a (51b) and a second hinge portion 52a (52b) acting as supporting points in elastic deformation, one of the first hinge portion 51a (51b) and the second hinge portion 52a (52b) is disposed at an upstream side of the intake port 2 and the another one is disposed at a downstream side, at the closing position of the valving element 32.

    • PURPOSE:To make coherent force between a packing and an inner circumferential surface of a valve case uniform at all spots, by setting up an upstream member, being made up into a convex cupped form at the upstream side where an opening end edge is tightly attached to a peripheral edge proximate position, at the upstream side of a main plate. CONSTITUTION:On a surface at the upstream side of a main plate 21, an upstream member 28, made up into a convex cupped form at the upstream side where a diameter of an opening edge is set to somewhat a smaller value than that of the main plate 21, is set up from the outer side of a spindle 22, and the peripheral edge is welded to a peripheral edge proximiate position of the main plate 21. The upstream member 28 is elastically deformed as it receives water pressure, thereby having both peripheral edges of the main plate 21 and a ringlike disc 26 elastically deformed uniformly in an expanding diametral direction, and the packing 25 held by both these plates 21 and 26 in between is made to stick fast to an inner circumferential surface of a valve case 24 whereby running water is completely sealed up.
