摘要： PURPOSE:To make a particulate combustion performable in an effective manner, by lefting a honeycomb structure, which is made up of porous ceramics containing a ceramic fiber of 40-80wt% and has each cell whose closed end is alternately set up, support a catalyzer. CONSTITUTION:In a honeycomb structure being made up of porous ceramics containing a ceramic fiber of 40-80wt%, one end of each cell is closed up. In regard to adjacent each cell, a closed end is laternately disposed, and this structural body supports at least one type catalyzer among alkali metals, alkaline earth metals and transition metals. As compared with an exhaust gas filter consisting of a pulverulent body of cordierite or the like, the ceramic fiber is used in this method so that sufficient porosity as more than 70% in a void ratio, therefore a contact area between the caught particulate matter and the catalyzer grows large enough in consequence, thus a particulate combustion is made performable so effectively.
