    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device which activates a mechanism to be operated by pressing a key inserted into a key insertion hole. SOLUTION: In the lock device 10, when an authentic key 12 is inserted into the key insertion hole 48 by the operator and a plunger member 42 is pressed to an operating position via the authentic key 12, only the plunger member 42 starts movement from a standby position to the operating position while a sleeve member 22 is restricted to the operating position by an engaging bar 108. Thus an operating lever 92 in a locking position rocks toward an unlocking position, and when the plunger member 42 reaches the operating position, the operating lever 92 rocks to the unlocking position. Further in the lock device 10, when an unauthentic key 12 is inserted, the sleeve member 22 and the plunger member 42 are connected together, and the plunger member 42 and the sleeve member 22 move from the standby position to the operating position in one body.
