    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishline obtained by using a stainless steel wire as a metal wire, produced by discovering a suitable condition for improving a tensile breaking strength characteristics of the metal wire by paying attention to the temperature and the tensile breaking strength characteristics of the metal wire subjected to high deformation wire drawing, and having improved bundling ability, curl resistance and water break characteristics as the fishline, and to provide a production method or the like thereof.SOLUTION: The fishline 2 that shows improved cohesion, curl resistance, drainage properties and so forth is produced by carrying out the wire drawing of a high deformation of from 95 to 99.5% as the total area-reducing ratio by using an austenite stainless steel wire obtained by subjecting the metal wire to solid solubilization treatment, accumulating low-temperature heat treatments in suitable conditions by each processing step of the metal wire, and/or utilizing the heat when forming a resin film on the fishline 2 to improve the mechanical strength characteristics of the metal wire, and twisting the resultant metal wires.
