    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for reduced-recovering chromium in slag and also, for promoting desulfurization in molten iron while using the chromium-containing molten iron and the slag obtained in an electric furnace operation of CaF-free slag as the objects.SOLUTION: When the chromium-containing molten iron having 8.0-35.0 mass% Cr content, produced with the electric furnace and the CaF-free electric furnace slag having CrO, SiO, Ca0 as constituting components generated at the production time of this molten iron, and 0.7-1.7 basicity (CaO/SiO), are mechanically stirred with stirring blades in the refining vessel, the metallic Al-containing material and CaO are charged until completing the stirring, and the slag basicity after completing the stirring is adjusted to ≥1.9.
