    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stabilizing a protein, which suppresses deamidation of an amino acid such as asparagine etc., with the passage of time, one cause of reduction in stability of a protein and substitutes an amino acid adjacent to an amino acid to be deamidated in a protein with another amino acid. SOLUTION: When a glycine adjacent to asparagine is substituted with another amino acid, deamidation of an antibody is suppressed without affecting the activity of the antibody. The stabilization method is applied to an antibody, an antibody having slight reduction in activity is produced and an antibody useful even in medical preparations requiring stability for many hours is obtained.
