    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate for a magnetic disk, which has very few defects existing on a surface in a level of proximity of 0.1 nm in arithmetic average roughness (Ra), and is suitable as a substrate for a magnetic disk of high recording density, and to provide a magnetic disk.
