    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize an impact sound occurring when a sheet is carried.SOLUTION: A sheet carrier device 100 includes: a pair of register rollers 57, a pair of carrier rollers 56, and a pair of paper supply rollers 101 which are disposed in a sheet carrier passage 52 bent into a U shape. A first guide plate 85 is disposed between the pair of carrier rollers 56 and the pair of paper supply rollers 101, and a second guide plate 88 is disposed between the pair of carrier rollers 56 and the pair of register rollers 57. Thin wall parts 86, 89 are provided in regions of the first guide plate 85 and the second guide plate 88 which a carrier direction tip of a sheet P collides. The structure suppresses a characteristic high frequency component of an impact sound caused by a collision of the sheet P, improves the sound quality of the impact sound to change the sound into a comfortable sound, and concurrently reduces the energy to suppress the sound.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding device capable of highly accurately carrying recording media stored on upper and lower trays by a simple configuration.
      SOLUTION: When a recording medium P stored on an upper paper feed tray 4 is carried by a feeding roller 10 and a carrying roller 13, the recording medium P passes through inside of a recessed part 44. Therefore, even if a carrying path formed by an outer peripheral carrying guide 40 and an inner peripheral carrying guide 41 is formed so as to correspond to recording media stored on a lower paper feed tray 3, this configuration prevents the curvature of the recording medium P stored on the upper paper feed tray 4 from being reduced more than necessary and avoids increase in carrying resistance.
