    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging line and a packaging method for packing separate products, such as magazines, compact discs, digital versatile discs, these combinations or the like continuously.
      SOLUTION: The packaging line comprises a product collecting pass 2 having the first conveyor 3 and a number of feeders 4 provided along the conveyor, a packaging module 5 having a bending means for forming a packaging tube from a continuously packaging web and a cross separation device 10 for detaching in the direction crossing a packaged article and especially, and at least three transverse seal are formed for every packaged product. Thus, in the packaging line, the sealing means and the cross separation device are driven by a controlling section in order to obtain the packaged product characterized by the first and the second transverse seal separated slightly from the end edge of the product and arranged, and the third transverse seal for forming a flap in the packaged article separated slightly from the second transverse seal and arranged.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus which prevents a defective bag from mixing into a strip bag when a failure due to catching of a foreign matter occurs in a packaging process.
      SOLUTION: The packaging apparatus includes first/second approach sensors 32, 33 and first/second detecting members 35, 36 for detecting a gap d between both seal jaws 21 and 21 upon pinching a film F. A control unit of a packaging section judges the presence/absence of biting on the basis of a detection signal from the first/second approach sensors 32, 33.
