    • PURPOSE:To obtain always the generation of optimum braking force irrespective of on-board load, by changing the lever ratio of an on-board load sensing lever which determines the operation starting point of hydraulic pressure control of a proportioning valve in accordance with an increase in the fluid pressure of a fluid type vehicle level adjusting device. CONSTITUTION:By operating a pedal brake 16, hydraulic pressure from a master cylinder 10 is transmitted through a proportioning valve 26 to left and right rear wheel brakes 30. In such a device, the above-mentioned valve is provided with a valve piston 46 for carrying out restricting action of brake hydraulic pressure. Below this valve piston 46 there is disposed a preloading on-board load sensing lever 34 determining the operation starting point of hydraulic pressure control of the valve 26. Further, the housing 44 of the valve 26 is supported rotatably around a pin 33 so that the actuating level of the above-mentioned lever 34 with respect to the piston 46 is made variable, and therefore, the rotation of the housing 44 is controlled by an actuator 42 in accordance with an increase in fluid pressure in a fluid type vehicle level adjusting device 58.

CONSTITUTION:When a brake pedal 1 is stepped-in during the time when a car travels, the pressurized oil generated from the output port P2 of a master cylinder M is supplied into right and left rear-wheel brake Br through the reducing valve 6 of a controller V and an oil passage L3, and brake operation is performed. In this case, said reducing valve 6 is equipped with a pressure receiving piston 7 which is urged rightward by the coil springs 16 and 17 which determine each decompression action starting pressure in the case when a car is loaded or unloaded and a valve piece 11 which opens and closes the communication to an output oil pressure chamber 9 which communicates to an input oil pressure chamber 8 in the piston 7 and an outlet 5. First and second air-springs 221, 222 in a suspension system which urge the valve members 9 in the valve opening direction to determine the initial pressures of pressure reducing operation of the pressure reducing valves in accordance with a loaded weight of a vehicle, are connected to these pressure chambers. Accordingly, ideal braking may be obtained, and further, if one of the air- spring systems fails, the pressure reducing operation may be ensured by the other air-spring system, thereby the safety of the brake system may be aimed at being enhanced.

Thereby, an ideal control of brake hydraulic pressure may be obtained, and even if the air spring system fails, hydraulic pressure to the rear wheel brakes may be reduced by determining the initial pressures of pressure reducing operation by means of the mechanical spring so that the locking phenomenon of the rear wheels may surely be prevented.
