SOLUTION: The valve unit (50) is used as a brake system of the tractor unit to control the brake of the tractor vehicle and constitutes valve devices (70, 90, 64) together with a single piston (70) capable of taking effective motion among a resting position, a floating position and an operating position during check of the brake. When differential pressure between a control chamber (F) and an output chamber (D) exceeds a predetermined value, the piston (70) can further move toward a position where stop valves (80, 90c) can be closed.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of a retaining control piston of a trailer control valve controlled by two circuits for a tractor (EBS tractor) having an electronically controlled braking system and braked by air pressure.
SOLUTION: In the EBS tractor, electrically generated EBS control pressure and redundant control pressure generated at failure of an electronic device are fed to two circuits of the trailer control valve at braking. The retaining control piston is provided on the trailer control valve and force is acted on the retaining control piston through two control chambers applied with the control pressure. In EBS operation, the EBS control pressure is effective by retaining of the redundant control pressure and the redundant control pressure becomes effective at failure of the electronic device. Thereby, the control chamber applied with the redundant control pressure is constituted as combination of two partial chambers and these partial chambers are acted on the retaining control piston through two respective partial action surface. In the EBS operation, only force generated on the first partial action surface is acted.
