    • PURPOSE:To improve the working properties in the welding of a door panel and a retainer at the time of assembly of a door and enhance the strength of the welding, by placing the retaining wall of the retainer not to face the stop-welded portions of the outer panel of the door and a coupling flange. CONSTITUTION:A retainer 20 has a base 21 for closing the openings of the outer panel 3 and inner panel 4 of a door. An inner coupling flange 23, which is conjoined to an opening flange 4a, is formed by bending, at the portion of the base 21 near the inner panel 4. The flange 23 has such a double construction that a bent-back portion 24 is provided. A retaining wall 25, which faces a flange 22, is formed at the end of the bent-back portion 24. A bent-back portion 26 is formed at the end near a panel 6. Since a notch 33 is provided in the retaining wall 25, setting a spot-welding tip in such a manner as to pinch an opening flange 3a and the flange 22 together is not hindered in conjoining the outer panel 3 and the retainer 20 to each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the appearance of a door by preventing an edge of decorative mold constituting a design surface of a window frame of a door from being exposed.SOLUTION: The door structure of an automobile includes a decorative mold 62 constituting design surfaces 63e and 64e which are attached to the surface side of the window frame 60 of the door of the vehicle, and a weather strip 40 for sealing the part between the edge of an entrance and the door, which is provided in the back side of the window frame 60. The decorative mold 62 is composed of a design part which constitutes the design surfaces 63e and 64e of the window frame 60, and a peripheral part 64f bent in the direction toward the back side with respect to the design part. An edge 64j at the distal end of the peripheral part 64f is fitted into a groove part 45m formed in the weather strip 40.

A hollow sublip 26 is formed on one side part of the welt part 23 through a leg part 25 and a water removing lip 27 sealing between a base part of the above-mentioned leg part 25 and a retainer 5 is provided at the base part of the leg part 25. The above-mentioned hollow sublip 26 is positioned at an opening part of a cave part 12 to be divided by the weatherstrip 21 and touches elastically a terminal part 1b of a front edge of a door sash 1 and a corner part 2a of the front pillar 2 respectively by getting astride of them at the closing time of a door.

A side wall 31 of the glass run is integrally joined to one of side surface of the leg part 42, whereas the bottom wall 23 of the glass run section is integrally joined to the other side surface of the leg part 42 of the molding section.
