    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor unit that can improve convenience when switching an operation mode.SOLUTION: The sensor unit U1 is attached integrally to a wheel 41 of a vehicle, detects the air pressure and the internal temperature of the tire 40, and transmits a detection signal including information containing the detected air pressure and the internal temperature and a unique identification code. The sensor unit is provided with an acceleration sensor 21 for detecting the acceleration ax in the direction of the rotation axis of the tire 40, and the acceleration ay in the radial direction of the tire 40. On the basis of the acceleration ax detected through the acceleration sensor 21, the operation mode of the sensor unit U1 is set to either an activation mode or a sleep mode.
