    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet head that can efficiently eject an ink in an ink pressure chamber through a nozzle.SOLUTION: An inkjet head includes: a substrate 12 in which an ink pressure chamber 14 is formed; a nozzle plate 2 piled up on the substrate 12; and an actuator 20 incorporated in the nozzle plate 2. The nozzle plate 2 includes a nozzle 11 that communicates with the ink pressure chamber 14, and a vibrating plate 4 exposed to the ink pressure chamber 14. The actuator 20 displaces the vibrating plate 4 in the thickness direction to pressurize an ink in the ink pressure chamber via the vibrating plate 4 and to eject the same through the nozzle 11. The ink pressure chamber 14 has a first dimension along the thickness direction of the substrate 12 and a second dimension along a direction orthogonal to the thickness direction of the substrate 12. The first dimension is greater than the second dimension.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet printhead having an improved structure that can improve linearity of ejected ink droplets and increase a drive frequency.
      SOLUTION: The ink-jet printhead includes a substrate having an ink chamber formed on the front side of the substrate to be filled with an ink to be ejected and a manifold formed on the backside of the substrate for supplying the ink to the ink chamber, a large number of protective layers laminated on the substrate and made of an insulating material, a nozzle plate which has a heat dissipation layer laminated on the protective layer and made of a thermally conductive metallic material and has a nozzle penetrating through and connected with the ink chamber, two heaters provided symmetrically about the nozzle between the protective layers of the nozzle plate for heating the ink in the ink chamber and a conductor for applying a current to the heaters. Two ink channels connecting the ink chamber and the manifold are formed symmetrically about the nozzle between the ink chamber and the manifold. Thus, the drive frequency of the printhead is improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer head and its manufacturing method.
      SOLUTION: The ink jet printer head has a substrate on one face of which an ink chamber is formed and in which a channel for supplying ink to the ink chamber is formed at a bottom face of the ink chamber, a nozzle plate which includes a penetrating nozzle corresponding to a center of the ink chamber, and at least two insulating layers formed on the substrate, a bubble guide formed inside the nozzle plate and extending from the nozzle into the ink chamber, and a heater set between the insulating layers to surround the nozzle. A hydrophobic coating layer is formed on a surface of an uppermost layer of the nozzle plate, and a droplet ejecting port which has a diameter smaller than that of the nozzle of the nozzle plate and is disposed on the same axis as that of the nozzle is formed in the hydrophobic coating layer. The nozzle plate is prevented from becoming wet due to the ink, and a stability of an ink spray from the nozzle and a consecutive spray performance are improved.

    • PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device, and to allow recording at high speed by mounting a heating means near an orifice and fitting a flow path bypassing the heating means to a recording-liquid flow path. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical heating element 7 consisting of a resistor, etc. is fitted integrally onto an inner surface in the vicinity of an orifice 6 in a housing 2 constituting a head 1. On the other hand, a bypass duct 9 introducing ink from an ink tank 4 is formed on the upstream side of the heating element 7, the other end of the bypass duct is communicated with an ink chamber 5 on the downstream side of the heating element 7, and the bypass duct is constituted so that the downstream side of the heating element 7 is supplied with ink by negative pressure generated after the injection of ink. According to said constitution, a mechanism directly pressurizing a recording liquid is unnecessitated, and the title recording device can be miniaturized while a heating section after ejecting globules is filled rapidly with the recording liquid from the upstream side from the downstream side, thus largely increasing the speed of recording.

The heaters are positioned above the ink chamber for heating the inside of the ink chamber. A material layer is interposed between the ink chamber and the manifold to form a bottom wall of the ink chamber and a top wall of the manifold. A plurality of ink channels for connecting the ink chamber and the manifold is formed in the material layer.
