    • PURPOSE:To improve a liquid squeezing function in a screw press for solid- liquid sepn. having an annular gap on an outside cylinder by providing a gap cleaning plate on the outside circumference of the screw and injecting a gas through the holes of a hollow shaft and discharging the squeezed liquid therefrom. CONSTITUTION:A raw material (a liquid material to be squeezed) is charged from a hopper 5 and is compressed by the screw of the 1st cylinder 12. The squeezed liquid flows through the gap between filtrate rings R2. The raw material cut by knife rings R4 is similarly compressed by the 2nd cylinder 13 and is compressed by the shaft having a gradually increasing diameter, and after the final squeezing by the 3rd cylinder 14, the squeezed cake is discharged from the gap between pressure adjusting cones 3. There is a ramming plate (bar) 9 moving between the rings R1 on the vane of the screw W to eliminate clogging. The gas (air or steam) entering through a hollow hole 2 is injected into the hollow shaft through holes 16, 18 to improve flow and size reduction. The squeezed liquid is drawn from the hole 16 on the down stream of a partition 4 to accomplish thorough compression. The compression is thus thoroughly and smoothly accomplished.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of effectively squeezing juice of Alpinia speciosa etc., and of efficiently distilling a squeezed liquid relating to a solid-liquid separator suitable for compressing plants, such as the Alpinia speciosa for obtaining the squeezed liquid thereof. SOLUTION: The solid-liquid separator which has a supply section for the plants on one end side of a tube containing a screw, rotatably supports the screw so as to push and move the plants supplied into the tube from one end toward the other end of the tube and is bored with a number of small bores for passing the squeezed liquid of the plants on a side wall of the tube is used. The plants right after the plants are previously divided by the interaction with the screw are squeezed by the pressing force of the screw in succession by providing the separator with a pretreating means for dividing the plants supplied to the plant supply section by the interaction with the screw. The plants are previously divided and are then squeezed and therefore all the components of the Alpinia speciosa can be effectively extracted. The distillate of the Alpinia speciosa is formed by distilling such squeezed liquid and therefore high-quality hair restorers and deodorants having excellent effect can be provided.     • PURPOSE:To prevent the co-rotation of a dehydrated solid material and spiral shafts provided with multiple spiral vanes having opposite spiral inclinations and to reduce the length of a device by rotating said spiral shafts in a casing for thickening and providing successively a line of liquid squeezing shaft to one of said shafts. CONSTITUTION:A feed spiral shaft 6 rotates in a direction (a) in a casing 1 for thickening consisting of a porous cylindrical body having a cocoon shaped sectional shape and a feed spiral shaft 7 rotates in a direction (b). The crude night soil, etc. charged into the casing through a feed port 2 flows toward the intermediate part of the shafts 6, 7 and is transferred to the rear end part by means of multiple spiral vanes 8, 9. The liquid content flows down onto a receiving tray 25 for collecting liquid through small holes 3 during this time. The thickened night soil fed by the shaft 7 is forced into the thickened night soil fed by the shaft 6 in the rear end part and is forcibly fed into a casing 14 for solid-liquid sepn., so that the night soil is compressed by a liquid squeezing spiral shaft 12. The liquid component drops onto a receiving tray 26 for collecting liquid and the crude night soil after the dehydration treatment is discharged through a discharging port 18 by displacing a resistance 20 against a spring 21.
