    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape reel which is suitable for a servo track system and conducts high density and high speed reading, by molding a reel main body with high molding accuracy even though driving teeth and lock teeth having thicker thickness than others are present on a hub bottom wall.
      SOLUTION: In a reel main body 10, a bottom flange 11 and a cylindrical hub 12 having a bottom are unitized and lock teeth 18 and driving teeth 19 are each formed in a projecting and surrounding manner on a hub bottom wall 17. When the reel main body 10 is molded, the reel main body 10 is injection molded in a way that a gate position G is set on the bottom surface side of the hub bottom wall 17 facing the formed position of the lock teeth 18, i.e., the portion that is thicker than other portions and melted resin is not hardened until the last moment. After the melted resin is filled into the molding space, injection pressure is maintained to sufficiently replenish resin in accordance with reduction in volume. Thus, the occurrence of shrinkage of the driving teeth 19 and the lock teeth 18 is prevented and a deterioration in the degree of cylindricality of the hub 12 caused by the shrinkage and reduction in surface wobbling accuracy of the bottom flange 11 are resolved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure rigidity of a case body by carrying out without trouble ultrasonic welding of upper and lower cases that constitute the case body, in a large-sized tape cartridge as a whole while the case body is small-sized in its height direction. SOLUTION: The case body 1 is formed by coupling the upper and lower cases 1a and 1b in such a way that the case 1a acting as a lid is fitted on the lower case 1b. The upper and lower cases 1a and 1b are integrally coupled by carrying out the ultrasonic welding to rear side walls 15a and 15b, and right and left side walls 16a and 16b, respectively. When they are coupled, at the right and left side walls 16a and 16b of the upper and lower cases 1a and 1b, the ultrasonic welding of a lid 6 to the case body 1 is prevented by carrying out the ultrasonic welding at the maximum allowable rear position of the lid 6 for tape protection located in the front surface of the case body 1.

SOLUTION: The improving processing method of a wound state of a magnetic tape comprises: a winding process in which the magnetic tape is wound on a tape reel of which the hub peripheral plane is formed in taper shape; a heat treatment process by which the magnetic tape wound by the winding process is heat-treated under a previously set heat treatment condition. It is preferable that humidity is set to 50-90 % at directly under glass transition temperature of a supporter of the magnetic tape as the previously set heat treatment condition.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent melted resin from being oozed out from the peripheral of a welded winding piece, to fix the winding piece with sufficient welding strength and to prevent the occurrence of tape breakage by eliminating material degradation due to welding at the top and the bottom edges of the base section of the welding and of the reversal section of a single reel tape cartridge in which a leader tape is wound on the pin of a leader piece and welded to an opposing tape surface. SOLUTION: A connecting section 20 is constituted by providing a top and bottom pair of winding pieces 22 that are divided by a groove 21 at the unreeled end of a leader tape 10. The winding pieces 22 comprises a base section 23 provided on the proximal end side and a reversal section 24 which is wound on a pin 12, reversed and ultrasonically welded to the base section 23. The reversal section 24 and the base section 23 are ultrasonically welded in a state that the connecting section 20 is supported by an anvil surface 28 which has a width narrower than the top and the bottom widths of the reversal section 24 thereby to form a completely welded section W1 that has an approximately same width to the anvil surface 28, onto the reversal section 24 and the top and the bottom edges of the completely welded section W1 is formed with an incompletely welded section W2 to prevent the melted resin from being oozed out. Since the incompletely welded section W2 is not heated, no material degradation occurs at the top and the bottom edges of the base section 23 and of the reversal section 24.
