    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine that supplies a resin material so as to keep a constant starvation state without requiring a special means for detecting the molding material in a groove of a screw, or without being affected by a measurement rotational speed, regardless of the kind of the resin material.SOLUTION: An initial value of a supply amount command value F is set, and an injection/dwelling process is executed to start measurement (SA100-SA103). Resin is supplied on the basis of the supply amount command value F calculated in the previous cycle, while the initial value of the supply amount command value F set in the step SA100 is used in the first molding cycle. A screw rotary encoder value C1 at the start of measurement is detected and stored, and whether measurement has been completed or not is determined. When the measurement has been completed, a screw rotary encoder value C2 at the completion of measurement is detected and stored (SA104-SA106). Screw rotational quantity ΔC (=C2-C1) during measurement is calculated to calculate the supply amount command value F of the resin (SA107 and SA108) so that the screw rotational quantity ΔC during measurement becomes a target value.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine which can adjust a detection level under a simple construction and detect the accumulation level of resin pellets even at a portion close to a screw. SOLUTION: In this injection molding machine, a resin supply hole 9b of a cooling jacket 3 is opened in the cooling jacket 3 in such a way that the hole can communicate with a resin supply hole 9a of a heating cylinder 1. A sensor head 6 mounted on a sensor mounting plate 7 is inserted into resin supply holes 9 (9b and 9a) from a sensor insertion aperture 11 and a resin supply aperture 10 opened in a hopper plate 4. The sensor head 6 detects the accumulation level of resin pellets 21 accumulated in the resin supply hole 9. The detection level of the accumulated resin pellets can be changed by changing the insertion degree of the sensor head 6, and also, the accumulation level close to the outer peripheral surface of the screw 2 can be detected. Further, the contamination of the detection surface by the resin pellet 21 can be minimized by changing the sensor detection direction to an orthogonal direction with the resin accumulation direction, and thereby, erroneous detection can be significantly reduced.
