    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical extrusion type ceramic molding apparatus which is composed to be able to carry out operation from the kneading to the molding of ceramic in a series and can continuously manufacture a ceramic molding excellent in dimensional accuracy.
      SOLUTION: The apparatus for continuously molding the ceramic molding includes a vertical extruder 1 comprising a vertical cylinder 1a, a ceramic formed body feeding port formed above the cylinder, a mold case 1c in which a mold is set, and a screw 1d installed vertically in the cylinder to vertically sending the ceramic formed body supplied to the feeding port, a screw type kneader 6 which kneads and deaerates ceramic raw materials to prepare the ceramic formed body and supplies it to the vertical extruder, a molding holding mechanism 4 in which a support plate supporting the lower surface of the ceramic molding extruded downward from the mold, and which is brought down synchronously with the molding speed of the ceramic molding extruded from the vertical extruder to prevent the deformation of the ceramic molding by its own weight, and a cutting mechanism 5 for cutting the ceramic molding extruded from the mold when it reaches a prescribed length.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extruder which decreases waste of a material or forming time, and extrudes ceramic formed bodies having a suitable quality in the extrusion of large sized ceramic formed bodies.SOLUTION: An extruder 1 comprises an extruding section 10, a chamber drum 20, and a forming section 30. The extruding section 10 kneads and extrudes a kneaded material including a ceramic raw material. The chamber drum 20 includes a first space portion 23 which extends from the extrusion port 12 side of the extruding section 10 in an extruding direction and allows the kneaded material to flow in the extruding direction, and a second space portion 24 which extends from a downstream side of the first space portion 23 in a downward direction, allows the kneaded material to flow in the downward direction different from the extruding direction, and has a discharge port to discharge the kneaded material. The forming section 30 includes a die 36 through which the kneaded material discharged through the discharge port of the chamber drum 20 is pushed out, to extrude and form ceramic formed bodies.
