    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform position correction of a tool to be mounted on a tool holder with micron order accuracy in the radial direction thereof while maintaining high rigidity. SOLUTION: A machine tool 10 comprises a tool holder 20 which can rotate integrally with a spindle 16, a ring-shaped elastic holder 24 having one end being bonded to the tool holder 20 and the other end being provided with an open end 24a to which blade tools 22a, 22b are attached, an operation shaft member 26 having the end projecting axially outward of the elastic holder 24 and movable in the axial direction relative to the tool holder 20, a transformation mechanism 28 which is linked with the operation shaft member 26 and transforms the moving operation thereof into the enlarging/contracting operation of the open end 24a in the radial direction, and a moving mechanism 30 which moves the operation shaft member 26 in the axial direction.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boring device and a drilling method improving the lifetime of a chip for a fine finishing cutting tool. SOLUTION: The boring device includes: a holder body 101; first cutting tools 103, 104 provided in the outer periphery of the holder body 101, arranged movably in the radial direction of the holder body 101 with respect to the holder member 101, and boring a hole of a workpiece W in a first working step; a second cutting tool 105 provided in the outer periphery of the holder body 101, arranged movably in the radial direction of the holder body 101 with respect to the holder member 101, and drilling the hole of the workpiece W in a second working step performed after the first working step; a measuring means 60 measuring the hole of the workpiece W after the second working step; and a correction means 84 correcting the radial positions of the first cutting tools 103, 104 in the first working step and the radial position of the second cutting tool 105 in the second working step respectively based on the measurement result of the measuring means 60 when a hole of the next workpiece W is bored.
