摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pillow packer which can perform end sealing on a spot at a desired position regardless of the height of a packaged article, and suppress the catching of the packaged article caused by a shift of a film. SOLUTION: The pillow packer includes a bag-making unit 20 which forms consecutively supplied strips of film into cylinders, a center sealing device 24 which performs sealing on a cylinder of film 21, and an end sealing device 30 which is located downstream to the center sealing device and performs sealing and cutting widthwise. The end sealing device has top sealers 35a, 35b arranged at an upper position and a lower position, and a driving mechanism which moves the top sealers along a given track. The driving mechanism uses separate driving motors to causes the top sealers to move separately back and forth and up and down. The driving mechanism controls the back and forth movement of the top sealers in such a way that at least the advancing speed of the sealers in a period from contact between a sealing face and the cylindrical film to complete the catching of the cylindrical film by sealer faces of the paired upper/lower top sealers is lower than the traveling speed of the cylindrical film. The cutter device 30 is arranged below the guide cylinder 20, and tips of the scraps are sequentially cut and chips 35 are produced by the cutter device 30.
