A first driving belt 60 is stretched between the main shaft 5 and the transmission shaft 6, and a second driving belt 70 is stretched between the transmission shaft 6 and the needle bar driving shaft 7 to transfer the rotation of the main shaft 5 of sewing machine to the transmission shaft 6 and the needle bar driving shaft 7 by belt transmission. The rotation of the needle bar driving shaft 7 is transmitted to the needle bar 4 via a motion conversion means 8 to move the needle bar 4 vertically.
