    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a natural musical sound by restoring a lost higher- harmonic component even when a sound-recording sampling frequency is lowered and musical sound waveform data are generated. SOLUTION: Musical sound waveform data corresponding to an address generated by an address generation part 23 among pieces of musical sound waveform data which are sampled at the sound-recording sampling frequency lower than an original sampling frequency and registered in a timbre data memory 25 are read out and interpolated by an interpolation part 26. The interpolated musical sound waveform data are multiplied by a sine wave for frequency (f) a half as high as the sound-recording sampling frequency and then shift in the positive direction by the frequency a half as high as the sound- recording sampling frequency. An HPF 29 cuts a frequency component below a half of the sound-recording sampling frequency and an addition part 31 adds the musical sound waveform data after the cutting and the musical sound waveform data after the interpolation together to approximately restore a frequency component lost in the sampling, thereby generating a more natural musical sound.     • PURPOSE:To play a music with a colorful quality of tone with a small amount of storage capacity in an automatic playing device. CONSTITUTION:In a rhythm pattern memory, a musical instrument group number IGN and a series of event data EVT which follow prescribed rhythm patterns are stored for every rhythm kind. The IGN represents one group among 8 musical groups. Each musical instrument group includes 8 musical instrument tone colors that are to be used to play one or plural kinds of rhythms and these musical instrument tone colors respectively correspond to 8 sound generating channels of a rhythm sound source section. The EVT includes a channel number CHN and sound generation timing data in a first byte and pitch and volume control data in a second byte. The CHN represents one of the 8 sound generation channels. During a performance, a musical instrument color tone such as cymbals is determined by the IGN and the CHN for every sound generating channel.

CONSTITUTION:The musical sound synthesizer device is equipped with a performance part 11, a timbre specification unit 12, a timbre parameter supply circuit 13, a timing generation part 1 which synthesizes the musical sound signal according to the key code KC outputted by the performance part 11 and the formant center frequency fc, timbre signal K, etc., outputted by the timbre parameter supply circuit 13, a fundamental waveform generation part 2, a window function generation part 3, etc. Then the musical sound signal of a fixed formant is generated by repeatedly generating the formant at the frequency of a musical sound to be generated. A subharmonic generating means which shifts the timing of the operation of the formant generating means at intervals of a specific number of times is provided to shift the timing at the intervals of the specific number of times to generate a subharmonic which is a submultiple of the specific number of times of the frequency of the musical sound signal to be generated.
