    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method useful for acquiring and carrying a sheet in a printer. SOLUTION: A feeder 120 includes a vacuum duct capable of joining a vacuum source so that negative pressure can exist in an opening of a plenum.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium stack sheet-fluffer device for preventing a plurality of cut sheets from being fed together due to mutual adhesion of material when feeding the cut sheets at high speed.
      SOLUTION: A first fluffer aperture pattern includes two respective apertures 110, 120. In accordance with rotation of an aperture plate around an aperture plate shaft 106, the respective apertures are momentarily directed to a jet 60 of a fluffer to allow a plenum flow 200 to momentarily pass through the aperture (110 or 120) and to enter the jet 60 of the fluffer.
