    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for leveling off ink in which a viscous gel ink is deposited on a substrate such as paper.SOLUTION: The method of leveling off a phase-changed gel ink is disclosed. The method is one for depositing a thin ink film 60 by leveling off the phase-changed gel ink 30 by a contactless process through using ultrasonic wave irradiation 40. The phase-changed gel ink is an ink characterized by being a liquid with a gel-like consistency at a room temperature but with a low viscosity at high temperature for discharging it to a substrate 35. The thin ink film 60 is deposited by obtaining the optimization conditions of the irradiation time and the irradiation intensity of the ultrasonic wave, and leveling off the phase-changed gel ink discharged with an inkjet process by such a condition, for leveling off the gel ink because of these peculiar ink properties.
