SOLUTION: The press felt for a papermaking machine includes: a base fabric 22 comprising a plurality of machine direction (MD) yarns 26 interwoven with a plurality of cross machine direction (CMD) yarns 28 in a predetermined regular weave pattern. And the MD yarns being divisible into upper MD yarns 26a, lower MD yarns 26b, and seam loops merging with either end of the upper and lower MD yarns, the seam loops defining the longitudinal ends of the press felt and having upper and lower portions; and a first Dreher CMD yarn interwoven with a CMD yarn of the regular weave pattern located nearest to the seam loops and with the upper portions of the seam loops of at least one end of the press felt in a Dreher weave.

摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a felt which is a woven fabric used for a machine for papermaking having an excellent vibration dampening ability, capable of surely providing better runnability, fewer maintenance and inspection stops and improved paper quality and having excellent elasticity and resilience. CONSTITUTION: This papermaker's felt has a dual layer base 28 having an excellent moisture absorption capacity and the base 28 has twice as many machine direction yarns 7, 10, 11 and 13 on the top side of the fabric as compared to machine direction yarns 8 and 9 on the bottom side. The yarns used may be spun yarns, multi-filaments, monofilaments, core-wrapped yarns and any kinds of twisted yarns. The yarns may be treated with an elastic resin or copolymer or extruded yarns may be used. The base 28 is further attached to a top fabric by needling.

The press felt further comprises at least one batt layer attached to the base fabric. SOLUTION: This felt 30 for a fiber cement comprises a top woven fabric layer 32 containing fine yarns 34 in the machine direction and fine yarns 36 in the machine crossdirection knitted with the fine yarns 34 in the machine direction, a bottom woven fabric layer 40 placed under the top woven fabric layer 32 and containing coarse-fineness yarns 42 in the machine direction and coarse-fineness yarns 44 in the machine crossdirection knitted with the coarse- fineness yarns 42 in the machine direction and a batt layer 50 deposited onto the top woven fabric layer 32 and located on the upper side of the top woven fabric layer 32. The top woven fabric layer 32 is preferably thermally bonded to the bottom woven fabric layer 40.
