    • PURPOSE:To obtain a drug carrier with low irritancy, useful as an injection or various mucosal application agents and having solubilizing and stabilizing ability, by using a specific cyclodextrin derivative utilizing low hemolytic activity, tissual traumatism and local irritancy, etc. thereof. CONSTITUTION:A drug carrier obtained by utilizing any or all of the low hemolytic activity or/and hemolytic activity inhibitory action, low tissual traumatism or/and tissual traumatism preventing action, local irritancy or/and local irritancy reducing action of a cyclodextrin derivative expressed by the formula (n is 6-8; R is 2-hydroxyethyl, H, etc.) as the drug carrier. The above-mentioned derivative has high solubility in water and thermal sterilization is readily carried out without causing deterioration in solubility at high temperatures and release of complexes. Excretion into urine is rapid and possibility of acute and chronic toxicity is extremely low. Thereby the derivative can be used as a drug carrier with low irritancy for injection, mucosal application agent (e.g. oral cavity) for internal use, mucosal application agent (e.g. eye or ear) for external use, etc.

    • PURPOSE: To assay bile acid in humors efficiently, by treating a humor specimen with iodic acid or its salt, subjecting it to an oxidation-reduction reaction.
      CONSTITUTION: In assaying bile acid in humors by oxidizing bile acid with 3α- hydroxy steroid dehydrogenase to give NADH, treating NADH with a transferase or a middle electron carrier so that a tetrazolium salt is reduced, determining prepared formazan at a visible part, a humor specimen is treated with 0.001W2.0wt% calculated as iodic acid concentration of iodic acid and/or its salt such as sodium salt, potassium salt, etc. at ≤4.0pH.
