      CONSTITUTION: When a shutter button 12 is depressed after frame-wise recording is set at an operating section 23, a motor 11 is rotated by means of a signal from a head shifting motor controlling circuit 36 and a head 26 is moved in the advance direction. On the other hand, an electric current is supplied to a driving coil by means of a signal from an actuator control circuit 35 and the head 26 is displaced for a fixed time in the direction opposite to the advance direction. When such arrangement is made, the recording locus of the head 26 against a recording medium 18 becomes a closed circle during the period of one frame recording. Therefore, the recording element can be moved in a short time when it is advanced to an adjacent track.

    • PURPOSE:To execute high density recording, by forming a tip of a magnetic head brought into contact with a magnetic film to be recessed and a head support member to be a mechanical impedance specified and prolonged toward the lengthwise direction of a recording track. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical rotating magnetic recording medium 1 is driven rotatably in high speed with a drive motor 6. A feeding screw 10 is coupled to a rotation shaft 8 of a shift motor 7 with a coupler 9, and a shift body 11 is threadedly engaged to the screw 10. The shift body 11 is guided with a guide rod 12 and shifted in parallel with a rotation shaft 2. An actuator 13 of a tracking control system is fitted to the shift body 11, and a support member 15 of a magnetic head H is linked to the actuator 13 via a coupling section 14 of elastic body. The tip of the head H including an air gap (g) is formed recessed and the member 15 is constituted that the mechanical impedance in the direction vertical to the magnetic film of the medium 1 is small and the mechanical impedance in the prolonged direction of the recording track is large. Thus, high density recording is attained.
