      SOLUTION: The dielectric resonator component is constituted by including: a dielectric block 1; a through hole 17 formed from a first surface 11 to a second surface 12 in the dielectric block 1; an internal conductor 2 attached to the inside of the through hole 17; an external conductor 3 attached to sides 13, 14, 15, 16 of the dielectric block 1; and an input/output electrode 4 to be combined with a resonator to be formed corresponding to the through hole 17. In the dielectric block 1, a recessed part 7 dug down from the second surface 12 is formed around the through hole 17, and the surface of the recessed part 7 is formed of materials of the dielectric block 1. To the second surface 12 of the dielectric block 1, a shield member 8 electrically connected to both of the internal conductor 2 and the external conductor 3 is joined via an inside connection conductor 5 and an outside connection conductor 6 so as to close the recessed part 7.

The production method is characterized by including a forming process for forming a formed body from a powder comprising Al, Ln and O, a firing process for producing a sintered body having a relative density of over 80%, and a solidification process for filling an Mo crucible with the sintered body and melting it and solidifying the sintered body by unidirectional solidification.
