    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and compact heating/fixing device capable of dealing with the passing widths of various kinds of recording materials by dividing a heat generating resistor for raising the temp. of a heating roller into two parts and changing the time average heat rate of one of the heat generating resistors, so as to suppress the rising of the temp. in the paper nonpassing area of the heating roller. SOLUTION: This heating/fixing device consists of a heating roller and a pressure roller. The heating roller is constituted so that two heat generating resistors 13a and 13b for independently generating heat are formed outside. These two heat generating resistors 13a and 13b are constituted to use one power feeding terminal electrode 131 in common and provide the other power feeding terminal electrodes 132a and 132b respectively. In one heat generating resistor 13b, an energizing time is changed according to the passing width of the recording material to vary the time average heat rate.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate incorporation into a printer device by making a tubular envelope have an infrared-ray reflecting layer such as an aluminum deposited film or the like, excluding one part in its circumferential direction, at the inner surface or the outer surface. CONSTITUTION:Out of infrared rays irradiated from a filament 6, most of them which have entered the slit part of a tubular envelope 1 transmit the envelope 1, while most of them which have entered an infrared-ray reflecting layer 8 are reflected and return to the interior of the envelope 1 again. Most of these reflected infrared rays enter the filament 6, and are absorbed there and are consumed to red-heat the filament 6. The infrared-rays other than them either enter the other section of the reflecting layer 8 and are reflected, or transmit the slit part of the envelope 1 and are radiated outside. As a result, the infrared rays are radiated efficiently only from the slit part of the envelope 1, and infrared rays are hardly radiated excluding the slit part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp that has a large mechanical strength in end structure of the glass bulb including blocking body and a sufficiently large durability at hermetically sealed portions. SOLUTION: The lamp has been connected with a sealed-tube portions at the both ends of a bulb made of quartz glass, equipped with a blocking body inserted and disposed in the said sealed-tube portions, and the blocking body is composed of a blocking member and a lead bar projecting therefrom. The said blocking member is equipped with insulating portion at one end, electroconductive portion at the other end, and a functionally gradient material in which the rate of an electroconductive inorganic component increases continuously or stepwise. An airtightly sealed portion is formed by welding the circumference of insulating portion of the blocked member with an inner edge of the sealed-tube portions, and the sealed-tube portions formed at its outer end portions with a blocking body support that has close contact with circumferential face of the lead bars outwardly projecting from the outer edge of the electroconductive portion of the blocking member of the blocking body.
